15 g L1 suspended solids content. The cultures were placed on a
shaking table in a temperature-controlled cabinet at 25 C,
130 rpm for duration of the test. After incubation for 72 h, 5 mL
of liquor was transferred into another flask and acclimated for
72 h. Five microlitres aliquot of the above liquor was then transferred
into another shaking flask, containing 0.5 L of medium, to
degrade the sulfide mineral flotation collectors.
Each biodegradation run included duplicate, blank culture and
biosorption control test.
