indicated in Fig. 1. For non-waxy black rice, its saturation point was
achieved earlier than that of waxy black rice. The non-waxy samples
reached a plateau after soaking for about 5 h; however, the
waxy samples spent around 7 h to enter the equilibrium phase.
At saturation point, moisture content of the waxy samples
(approximately 28%) was higher than that of the non-waxy samples(around 24%).
