Disney collaborated with the cities of Burbank and Glendale to convert its irrigation system to reclaimed water. In
2014, this effort saved more than 5.6 million gallons of potable water in Burbank and more than 9 million gallons
in Glendale. Additionally, Disneyland Paris’s wastewater treatment plant saved approximately 53 million gallons of
water in its first year of use. Along with a lower volume in resort activities, the wastewater treatment plant partially
contributed to a 13% decrease in water use compared to the prior year.
