To: Cargill employees worldwide
A heartfelt congratulations to our 2014 Chairman’s Award recipients! These are the company’s most prestigious awards that recognize businesses, teams and individuals at the global level for outstanding performance and results. Just to be nominated represents amazing, sustained accomplishment.
Below is the list of the recipients by category. Summaries of achievements are also available on the Chairman’s Awards website. Our Chairman’s Award finalists and award recipients should all be very proud of their contributions.
Recipients were announced and celebrated last week in unique and creative ways at a local level all across Cargill. Several of these moments were captured, so be sure and check out the highlight video, and offer your own congratulations.
A Recognition Explosion!
Over the past few weeks, we witnessed an incredible response to our recognition challenges. Thousands of you have already posted messages of thanks to each other in the Yammer recognition group. The recognition is still rolling, but so far, by the numbers, we’ve achieved:
• More than 6,000 people responded to Cargill Connects polls on recognition—beating the all-time high by 33%.
• In one day alone, 550% more eThank Yous were sent than the previous high for an entire week.
• Yammer’s recognition group more than doubled in size, and you have already posted thousands of messages this week.
And those are only highlights. Local teams celebrated in their own unique ways, making more people feel more valued than we ever thought possible.
Thanks to everyone who has taken a few minutes to make someone else’s day better. And if you haven’t yet discovered how easy, fun, and meaningful it is to recognize, why not do it today? Remember, through the month of November, for every recognition message in Yammer, Cargill will sponsor a meal for a hungry child. So post some recognition, or post some more!
Let’s Keep it Going
Our efforts to build the recognition culture at Cargill don’t end this week or this month. We’re truly starting a revolution and the challenge is to keep it growing. So keep doing what you’ve been doing.
And, we have one final fun recognition video for you featuring DMac, Paul, and LeighAnne, focused on keeping the momentum we have built the past two weeks alive. You can view it here.
Let’s keep it going, and remember, “It doesn’t hurt to smile”!
Thanks for all you do.
