The same experiments were made for various fibers with the results shown in Table 1.
Attenuations , at 1064 nm, were measured with the cutback technique [16].
For example, Fig. 4 exhibits the spectra for 5 km of True Wave fiber. From this, Power ¼
47:6 2 dBm, P ¼ 1 dB/km, PCR ¼ 1:6 W. Substituting these data on equation (6) yields

Additionally, using the equation of scaling of the Raman gain efficiency [16] for the True Wave
