A little furtherfrom WatPhra Yuen is WatPhraThaenSilaAt, known for its namesake laterite sermon platform. The stone seat measures over three meters in length, its base patterned with sacred lotus petals. It is the only structure that remains standing after the assembly hall that housed it burned in a forest fire. Built during the Sukhothai period by an unknown person, it was finally restored during the reign of King Rama V. Worth noting are the intricately crafted teak door panels, which were taken from a different temple in nearby Phitsanulok.
