The thermal time (TT16) required to reach maximum number of green leaves
(GLNMAX) and an inter-row PAR interception of 90% (FIINTER90) for the different RS.
illustrates the strong relationship (r2 = 0.878) between the timing
of GLNMAX and the timing of FIINTER value of 90% (named FIINTER90).
It could therefore be postulated that, for unstressed crops, the rate
of leaf senescence equals or exceeds the rate of leaf appearance
when FIINTER values reaches and exceeds 90%.
