Similar effects were previously reported when introducing inorganic salts to P407 systems, which have been described as ‘‘salting-out effects.’’ This phenomenon has been ascribed to the ability of the salts to reduce the water activity, byhydrogen bonding to the water and thereby increasing the effective
aqueous concentration of the polymer [19,26]. Similarly, the
addition of cubosomes might also result in decreased water activity
leading to an increased effective concentration of P407 and
thereby lowering of the CGT of the system
