1. Meats
Meat in Thailand is usually in small portions, not in large steak-form. Each dish is often cooked with just a bit of meat for flavor.
Don’t worry, there are plenty of opportunities to get meat filled dishes if you want to get your carnivore on.

2. Seafood
Thailand is a paradise if you love seafood!
Growing up, I used to only be able to eat shrimp or fish on very special occasions. Now, while living in Bangkok, I’m able to eat succulent shrimp and flaky fish everyday if I choose!
You can either order dishes that include small bits of seafood or entire dishes that are dedicated just to a particular seafood.

Vegetables in Thailand are used in almost every dish (of course you can order everything however you like).
Som Tam, or green papaya salad, is one of the most popular Thai green salad dishes, but really the choices and options are endless.
Vegetables throughout Thailand are served either raw in salad form, or stir fried up to eat with rice.

They are often flavored with sour lime juice and fiery chilies.
Probably the most popular and well known Thai soup is Tom Yum Goong, a sour and spicy shrimp soup. It can be ordered either creamy or clear.

When you are up for a quick meal or snack, a bowl of stir fried or soup noodles will hit the spot!

There’s no doubt that Thai desserts will cure your sweet tooth.

My favorite dessert is sticky rice and durian!
