Three hundred and twenty people participated in the study;
73% of which were females and 27% males. Participants ranged in
age from 18 to 64 years old (mean 33.5 years old, standard deviation
12.0 years old). Consumers were randomly divided into two
groups, which completed different tasks. One of the groups was
composed by one hundred and fifty-one participants who were assigned
with the completion task. The word association task was
completed by one hundred and sixty-nine consumers, and from
this group, one hundred participants also completed the shopping
list task. The information about gender and age of each group of
participants is summarized in Table 1.
