living conditions will be shared with these people and more
active communication becomes possible. However, sharing
information with family need not be limited to users whose
family utilizes social media such as Facebook. Situations
where senior citizens are caring for fellow senior citizens or
senior citizens whose family is engaged in providing care are
also conceivable. According to the 2011 Media Fixed Point
Survey (in Japanese) [16] by the Institute of Media
Environment, senior citizens obtain more information
through television than through the internet. In the future, we
also plan to work on supplying information in an easy to
understand manner and devise a client implementation that
would report information from a home helper via captions on
screen as the members of an elderly household watch
television.
