Descriptive analysis was performed and its values reported as means (SEM) for continuous variables and as frequencies and percentages for categorical variables.
An independent sample t test and χ 2 test were used to compare continuous and categorical variables, respectively.
Two separate multiple logistic regressions were performed, with WMSDs as the only dependent variable, and with psychosocial working environment, individual factors, and physical factors as the possible risk factors.
To ensure homogeneity of the population in terms of workload, two separate multiple logistic regressions were performed for the heavy and light task workers. Based on the models, separate odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals were estimated.
All analyses were performed with SPSS version 17.0; p < .05 was considered statistically significant.
