Liverpool officials fear that highly-rated attacker Memphis Depay will want a move to Man United over the Reds, due to Louis van Gaal’s men being on the verge of returning to Champions League football, report the Liverpool Echo.
Depay, 21, is a versatile talent who is able to play across the attacking midfield line, while he can also play up front too.

The Liverpool Echo report that the Netherlands superstar is rated at €27 million (£20m) and is being chased by Man United too.
Furthermore, last week there were reports that the 21-year-old held talks with Man United ahead of summer switch, but Depay came out and insisted that no contact has been made with the Red Devils, as reported by the Mirror.
While on Sunday, the Express claimed that Liverpool and PSV have agreed a €27m deal to bring the attacker to Anfield.
But now the Liverpool Echo are reporting that the Reds fear that Depay will want to move to Old Trafford.
Depay has created 56 chances in the Eredivisie this season
Depay has no doubt been the star player in the Dutch league this season. The 21-year-old has spearheaded his side to their first league title in five seasons, scoring 21 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Depay has created an impressive 56 chances, registering four assists. The Netherlands international, who featured at the 2014 World Cup, has also been very comfortable on the ball, completing 77 of his 139 take-ons.
Memphis Depay has completed 74% of his passes this season.
