ConclusionIn conclusion, the present study sheds light on beneficial impactof SA treatment on reducing chilling injury in anthurium cut flowersduring low temperature storage. Our results suggest that the reduc-tion of chilling injury in anthurium cut flowers by SA treatmentcan be due to (1) enhancing PAL enzyme activity associated withdecreasing PPO enzyme activity which led to accumulation totalphenols, (2) enhancing antioxidant CAT, APX, SOD, GR enzymesactivity, (3) enhancing proline and GB accumulation in anthuriumcut flowers during storage at 4◦C, which was coincided with higherspathe RWC, lead to maintaining membrane integrity by reduc-ing membrane lipid peroxidation, and, ultimately diminishing ROSaccumulation, it has a positive impact on chilling tolerance
