6.4.4 Employee must use insulated tools and handling equipment that are rated for the voltages to be encountered when working near exposed energized conductors or circuit. Tools and handling equipment should be replaced if the insulating capability is decreased due to damage.
6.4.5 The electrical equipment that has power pressure more than 50 volt, the protection cover at that equipment and rubber sheet for paving on floor shall be provided to prevent exposing to electrical hazard.
6.4.6 The electrical socket shall be adequately installed to prevent the employee connect the electrical wire in unsafe manner. If overloaded of socket, the socket, electric wire and equipment shall be changed as appropriate of using and shall comply with applicable standard.
6.4.7 When using transformer of measurement tools that has power pressure more than 600 volt the employer shall follow the requirements follows :
6.4.7.1 Secondary line shall connect to ground except that secondary line was the insulation that has metal surface that connected to ground or wiring in conduit that was metal or other proper type.
6.4.7.2 Transformer that was the current transformer circuit at secondary side shall connect as a close circuit.
6.4.8 When using generator, the generator shall be installed at area where has adequate space and provide adequate ventilation. If the generator was installed in the room, the exhaust gas from engine shall be released by connecting to exhaust duct to outside. The overloaded equipment shall also be provided for generator. The proper fire extinguisher shall be provided in generator room. In case of using reserved generator, shall provide 2 ways switch or other equipment to prevent wrong using of switch that may cause parallel connected to local power board’s line except was allowed by the authorities.
6.4.9 Fuse handling equipment (insulated for circuit voltage) must be used to remove or install fuses when the fuse terminals are energized. Ropes and hand lines used near exposed energized parts must be non-conductive.
