The clinical use of cisplatin, an effective anticancer drug is restricted because of its nephrotoxicity. Till now there is no effective drug purely to treat nephrotoxicity induced by cisplatin therapy.9 Search for potent nephroprotective agent has made man turn to suitable sources viz. indigenous system of medicine with fewer side effects. It is well documented fact that most of the medicinal plants are enriched with bioflavanoids which have antioxidant property and number of studies evidenced that many plants were exhibited good nephroprotector activity.
