Conclusion, suggestion and further research
To achieve the three goals, tourism and hospitality of HVE in Taiwan should emphasise the
four determinants simultaneously. Given global trends, promoting the competitiveness of the TH education system requires integrating modern management and innovative practices,
and building on from conventional practice-oriented educational methods to those focussing
on techniques, skills, aesthetics, and cultures. In addition to guidance and assistance from
governmental policy, TH education must cultivate competent and innovative professionals.
Thus, the development framework for TH in HVE should be constructed based on the four
determinants: administration and management; service and resource obtaining; teaching and
HR fostering; and, academic research and development; leading to the development of the
research proposition in this study. Based on construction and examination of the
development framework for TH education in this study, several suggestions are proposed by
as follows.
