3.Wat Huay Mongkol (Huay Mongkol Temple) is a Buddhist temple set in large grounds to the west of Hua Hin. Wat Huay Mongkol is home to the largest statue of the immensely popular Buddhist monk Luang Pu Thuat.
This place is very popular with Thai people from all over the country, who come here to pay respect to Luang Phor Thuad and to ask for things as favours, good luck, health, fortune and happiness.
In 1994 a new abbot had the idea of making statue of Luang Pu Thuat. The statue of Luang Pu Thuat was completed in 2004. An opening ceremony attended by the Queen Sirikit was held coinciding with the Queens 72nd birthday.
