First of all thanks for the kind words and the quick reply. In fact we wish to immerse ourselves into Thai culture and not necessarily with western culture. I've learned quite a bit living in Japan that eating local food and spending time with the locals is always best.
We will be moving near Chiang Mai University so if you know of any markets/supermarkets where the food is cheap and of quality then that would be a great help to us.
Regarding cooking, we will be attending a few cooking lessons in the first month with hopes of learning something lol. In all honesty we are not the best of cooks but we will do our best like most of our endeavors in life.
If it's fine with you and your boyfriend please add me on line @ riciiko . I have more questions about internet/cellphones etc.
Thanks for the reply and best wishes to you and your significant other.
Ciao~
