Particles of seeds, stems and skins were separated from the grape pomace to be individually used in
the experiments. The grape stems were cut in pieces of approximately 1 cm, while the grape skins were crushed in order to have an area close to 0.5 cm2, and the grape seeds were used in their natural form. Corn cobs were ground and sieved, and only the particles with size between 0.45 mm and 2 mm were used as immobilization support.
