Bacterial cultures
The microorganisms used in this study consisted of eight
strains of pathogenic bacteria, viz. Escherichia coli, Klebsiella
pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi, Vibrio
cholerae, Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus
and Staphylococcus epidermidis. All bacterial strains were obtained
from the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Faculty
of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University. The
bacteria were grown and maintained on nutrient agar slants.
The inoculated agar slants were incubated at 37 C.
