HighlyorderedTiO2nanotubearrayspreparedbyanodicoxidationhaveattractedincreasingresearch interestsduetotheirpromisingapplicationsinmanyscientificareas.Tothebestofourknowledge, afactorlimitingtheapplicationofTiO2nanotubearrayswastheirlongsustainingreactiontimeby anodicoxidation,usuallylasting6–12handevenlongerwhensynthesizingthickernanotubularlayers. Inthepresentpaper,wereportedforthefirsttimeafacilebuteffectiveapproachtoacceleratethe anodicformationofTiO2nanotubearraysbyproperadditionofsodiumcarbonate(Na2CO3)intothe anodizationelectrolyte.Weadoptedthe0.3MNH4F+0.03MNa2CO3+EG(ethyleneglycol)+3.0vol.% H2Oelectrolyteandtheaveragegrowthrateofthenanotubesachievedinourexperimentscouldbe acceleratedto1100nm/min.Thepossiblemechanismoftherapidelectrochemicalprocesswasalso presented.
