In addition, the improvement in the study group may be attributed to the increase in muscle strength. Treadmill training was used for children with motor impairment which helps them to improve balance and build strength of the lower limbs so they could walk earlier and more efficiently than children who did not receive any treadmill programs . The treadmill stimulates repetitive and rhythmic stepping while the patient is supported in an upright position and bearing weight on the lower limbs . A positive correlation exists between balance impairments and decreased lower-limb strength. In addition, poor trunk control negatively influences overall balance .This comes in agreement with Olama [51]who found that a program of treadmill training has a positive effect on muscle
strength and functional activities in hemiparetic cerebral palsy children.
