Six of the most common food-borne bacteria species in chicken
feces were employed in this study to evaluate the specificity of the
bead-based assay (Table 1). All these strains were obtained from the
Culture Collection of National Veterinary Institute, Technical
University of Denmark (DTU-Vet), which was originated from the
Culture Collection of University of Goteborg (CCUG), Sweden, or the
National Collection of Type Cultures (NCTC), or the Veterinary
Directorate Laboratory (VDL), UK.
