“(y/n) you’re freezing! Here take my jacket.”
“Thank you John,” you said as you pulled his jacket on, instantly growing warmer. You weren’t sure but you thought that you saw Sherlock frown in disapproval. At the next corner Sherlock took a random left turn that led to a brick road.
“Sherlock why did you bring us this way? It would have been better if we kept going straight for a few blocks,” John stated sounding confused.
“This just seemed like a better way is all,” Sherlock coolly responded.
“You do realize this is only going to make it much more difficult for me to walk, right?” You said looking down at your feet, not seeing the smirk that appeared on Sherlock’s face. The three of you walked in silence and you began looking up and, instead of watching your feet, became distracted by the stars. This caused you to take an improper step and your left heel to get caught in between two bricks. You gasped in pain as your ankle twisted and you began to fall but Sherlock caught you before you hit the ground.
“(y/n) are you alright? Sherlock set her down so I can look at her,” John said as his doctor instincts kicked in.
“It’s just a sprained ankle John”, Sherlock said as he set you down. John then took your ankle in his hands and began moving it this way and that with you wincing in pain no matter where he moved it.
“He’s right it’s just a sprain. A very bad sprain but it will heal once you ice it and stay off it for a few days. You’re not going to be able to walk the rest of the way though,” John explained as he began moving to pick you up.
