The maximum proportion of marketable fruit (93.3%) was
recorded when preharvest application of salicylic acid or potassium
phosphonate at 1000 mg L−1 was combined with postharvest
dip in 3% sodium bicarbonate at 51.5 C. When combined with
these postharvest treatments, the PDIC potassium phosphonate at
500 mg L−1 also gave 93.3% marketability (Table 3).
