big concern for RFID tags. For example, Wal-Mart will not be reading the tags at
checkout and customers are expected to cut off the EPC hang tag when they leave the
store, just as they would a normal price tag. However, there are advocates with privacy
concerns across a wide range of industries. The concerns range from protecting the
privacy of library patrons (Zare Mehrjerdi, 2011b) to concerns that retailers could use
this technology to collect data about their customers (Bustillo, 2010).
