Task: “Annual Leave”
Standard: An employee who has completed one full year of service with the company, he/she will be entitled for their annual vacation. The number of eligible days is based on which Grade/Level of each employee. The management has the right to schedule the annual vacation leave of an employee.
PROCEDURE:
1. Referring to staff manual, eligible annual leave for level 6-8 is 6 days/year
for level 4-5 is 8 days/year
for level 2-3 is 10 days/year
for level 1 is 12 days/year
for level E is 18 days/year
2. An employee is entitled to use annual leave vacation after completion of the first year of service.
Example I : Mr. Alongkorn is at level 5, he is entitled to 8 days vacation. He joined with the hotel on June 1st, 2006 so he is entitled for 4.5 days. This meant he eligible to take 4.5 days vacation in 2007 when he completed one year of service on June 2nd, 2007.
Example II : Mrs. Siriwan is at level 1, she is entitled to 12 days vacation. She joined with the hotel on October 10th, 2006, therefore she is entitled for 3 days.
This meant she is eligible to take 3 days vacation when she completed one year of service on October 11th, 2007.
3. The outstanding/entitled vacations that are accumulated, they will be allowed to the employee to utilize during the resignation notice period but they will get paid for such accumulated days.
4. An employee who submitted resignation notice or being terminated from service by the management, he/she will get vacation paid on pro-rata proportion for the annual vacation he/she is entitled for the year up to the last working date.
5. The employee must submit the annual vacation leave to Department Head for approval at least 3 days in advance before the leave date. Then submit it to HR department.
6. Human Resources Officer/Supervisor must check the total number of annual vacation days which be accumulated, when an employee resign or is terminated. The supported documentation must be finalized and acknowledged by DHR.
7. The total number of annual vacation days will be clearly clarified in the Payroll Action Form and also in the Final Settlement Payment Form attached with the original document (resignation form or Termination Letter together with supporting documentation) would be processed from HR department to Financial Department.
8. The payment action forms must be acknowledged and approved by the General Manager or the Resident Manager before processing them to Financial Department.
9. An employee has to use all entitled vacations by the end of each year, December 31st otherwise those vacations would be forfeited.
