Disadvantages:
Some women still expect you to pick up the check all the time, and to take most of the initiative and risk of rejection in establishing the relationship in the first place. Some women expect you to be a meal ticket. (You need to choose different women.)
You have less freedom than women in some ways. We women get a lot more leeway and flexibility in the way we dress, what our interests are, and how we spend our leisure time. In Portland I see guys in Utilikilts walking around in warm weather, and other people (male and female) giving them the side-eye. The only well-known man I ever heard of who got away with enjoying needlepoint and knitting was a retired NFL star, Rosey Grier, whose masculinity could not be questioned by virtue of his past career.
There's that word. "Masculinity." I think it is a burden. It seems that men need to prove their manhood in ways women don't always understand. We don't have to prove our femininity to anyone.
You have a somewhat shorter life expectancy than women do. Although this may equalize as women and men adopt more of the same lifestyle choices.
