LabVIEW is a graphical programming language. It
provides plenty of controls whose appearances are similar to
conventional instruments. It can be used to create user
interface easily since it is equipped with vivid sense, good
interaction which can shorten the time of development and
testing. Currently it has been widely applied in experimental
teaching [1].
To encourage students to study such temperature control
strategies as PID control and fuzzy control in low cost, we
considered above-mentioned issues in the experimental
teaching reform. By using LabVIEW and its PID Control
Toolkit, Control Design and Simulation Toolkit and Office
Toolkit, a set of experimental teaching system with data
acquisition, processing, control and display is developed to
realize PID control, self-tuning PID control, fuzzy control and
experimental simulation. The system works well and has
prospective application and economic benefits.
