Customer needs are at the heart of a company’s (PATA) understanding of the problems that customers tend to solve with the purchase of goods or service. Similarly, it could refer to customer’s expectations and requirements. Customer demand refers to the customer's goals, needs, desires, and expectations. In order to accelerate the work in parallel at design time, using a customer need approach should be able to accurately minimize the vague and ambiguous information. Identically, Maslow (1943) claims that “people are motivated to achieve certain needs as long as one need is fulfilled as a person seeks to fulfill the next one, and so on.” For this reason, any successful business would be originated from the understanding of customers need both internally and externally. With this in mind, customer needs analysis can be viewed as the approach to know what customer inputs are required to come out with better and improving products to attract more customers in business.
