Recall will use PeopleSoft Financials as the system of record for Customer Master data.
PeopleSoft Financials can store all the customer information that is required for Recall customers.
The Customer Master is the master record of customer information, such as address, customer role, type of customer, type of services contracted for, basic billing option information, customer name, customer number, type of customer business, etc.
Recall will make use of PeopleSoft’s corporate customer role as a means to relate customers with multiple accounts and/or customer numbers for reporting purposes. When setting up a customer, the system defaults the customer as a corporate customer to itself, however, if the customer being setup is part of a large group, i.e. IBM, then a separate customer number could be setup for the corporate customer and each individual IBM customer number would be setup as a separate customer number pointing to the single corporate customer number.
Delivered PeopleSoft customer setup functionality will be used, however, a Recall custom page been added to the system to capture customer level 2 and level 3 information (level 2 and 3 customers are currently only used in ReQuest DMS) along with the other Recall specific required user fields. The Recall custom page will group the Recall customization fields together and will provide a single panel to use when viewing or researching Recall specific customer information.
Customers will be set up at the country level. This means that Canada will have a set of customers, US a set, Mexico will have their set and so forth. These sets of customers are grouped in the system using a mechanism referred to in PeopleSoft as the SETID . Grouping customers in separate set IDs by country is required at Recall due to varying foreign currency and statutory requirements.
