Life Satisfaction
Life satisfaction measures how people evaluate their life as a whole rather than their current feelings. When asked to rate their general satisfaction with life on a scale from 0 to 10, Germans gave it a 7.0 grade.
The Well-Being in Germany – What Matters to Us initiative hosted 180 public and online dialogues in 2015 asking citizens to articulate their priorities and opinions regarding their understanding of personal well-being and of quality of life in Germany. The results will be analyzed by independent scientists and included in a report, a new set of well-being indicators and a political action program to be published in 2017.
