Bioactive compounds from MPP (1 g) were extracted with 20 ml of
80% acetone, centrifuged at 10,000g for 15 min. The supernatant ob-
tainedwas analyzed for total phenolics and carotenoids, and the residue
obtainedwas analyzed for soluble and insoluble dietary fiber contents as
described earlier by Ajila, Leelavathi, and Prasada Rao (2008).
