In case of A. arvensis, the weed control with pendimethalin 0.75 kg ha−1 was highly variable over the two seasons. Pendimethalin reduced the density of this weed by >90% in 2010–11 but only by 38% in 2011–12. The lower dose of pendimethalin (0.562 kg ha−1 ) and alachlor at both rates did not reduce the density of this weed relative to the weedy check at 70 DAS (Table 1)
