1. Program Categories, Duration and Language of Instruction
1.1 This scholarship only supports graduate programs. Scholarship duration is two to three years for master’s programs and three to four years for doctoral programs.
1.2 All programs in GZNU are instructed in Chinese.
1.3 The scholarship duration specified in the Admission Letter, covering major study and Chinese language study, cannot be extended in general.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
2.1 Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.
2.2 Not be a registered student in Chinese universities at the time of application; or be a graduate from Chinese universities for more than one year.
2.3 Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;
2.4 Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.
3. Scholarship Coverage
3.1 A waiver of fee for registration, tuition, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks.
3.2 Free on-campus dormitory accommodation
3.3 Monthly living allowance
3.4 One-off settlement subsidy
3.5 Outpatient medical service and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China.
4. Application Procedure
4.1 Applicants should apply to the program between January to the early April every year. Recommended candidates must finish the online application procedure atthe CSC Online Application System for International Students. Please go towww.csc.edu.cn/laihuaorwww.campuschina.organd clickApplication Online for International Students, complete the required information, submit the completedApplication Form for Chinese Government Scholarship onlineand print a hard copy.
4.2 A package of complete application documents (Please checkApplication Documentsfor the detailed checklist.) must be submitted to GZNU before the deadline.

5.1Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship(in Chinese or English)
5.2Notarized highest diploma (photocopy): Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5.3Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5.4A Study Plan or Research Proposalin Chinese or English with a minimum of 800 words.
5.5Two letters of recommendationin Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
5.6 Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of their own works. Applicants for fine arts programs must submit a CD of their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings and two other works.
5.7 Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form designed by the Chinese quarantine authority can be downloaded from:http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihuaorhttp://www.campuschina.org). The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
5.8 Applicants with valid HSK Certificate should enclose it in the application package.
The above documents should be bound on top left corner (in duplicate) and sent directly to GZNU. We will forward the nominated documents to CSC before the end of April. No application documents will be returned.
