Design for Six Sigma, DFSS, emphasises prevention over improvement, and enforces
the concept by following the define-measure-analyse-design-verify procedure to redesign
the product development procedure. Brue and Launsby (2002) considered DFSS as
a systematic management technique that optimises product, service, and procedure design
through management tools, training sections, and evaluation methodologies such that
customers’ expectation and quality criteria can be reached.
