Theeranat’s Self-introduction
Hi, everybody, my name’s Theeranat Poomgird. You can call me Mae or Pee Mae. I’m forty-seven years old. I’ve lived with my wife and seven-teen years old son on Ramintra Road nearly 15 years. I’ve graduated from Mahidol University at the faculty of Medical Technology. I also have got a master degree in MBA at NIDA in 1995. Now, I’ve worked as a managing editor at Healthworks Co., Ltd., one of the healthcare media company in Thailand. It’s a 12-20 workers company. My responsibilities are managing an editorial team, but sometimes I have to do all. ha ha ha !!. (just kidding)
Sport is a part of my life. I love playing sports, especially, adventures. Five years ago, I used to joy an extreme outdoor adventure at River Kwai, Kanchanaburi Province. It spent nearly 6 hours for swimming, ridding a mountain bike, climbing mountain and kayaking. Today, because of health problem, I can’t play like that. I’ve played sport only 2 times a week for 3 years. I always play badminton on Saturday at 4-6 pm. and riding bicycle every other Saturday morning. Everyone can joy with us.
For studying, I think for many times what can I do for improving my English. Most of my daily working life is only with Thai people, so I haven’t enough chance for practice it. I have to find more English learning environment. I have heard about tele-education at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University and decided to study English for Specific Careers (Business) course. It’s not on line course but it’s very enjoyable time. That’s why, after completing a course, I decide to study for Bachelor of Arts (English) and I also have a plan to study in Law, too.
This is my first term to study on line. Normally, I always use internet for working, reading and e-commerce but not for studying. So I think it may be one of my best times to improve my English. I think D4L+P System is very useful for self-studying. Thank you for Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, thank you all of instructor and my course mates. I’ve looking forward to have good experiences with you, Krab !!!
