Reporting Hazard Documents
As previously mentioned it is everyone's responsibility to identify hazards in the workplace. It is those who are involved in the day to day operation of the company [the workers] that are more likely to notice workplace hazards. Management should always ensure that these reports of workplace hazards are reacted to immediately. A worker who has gone to the trouble of reporting a workplace hazard is likely to lose their interest in doing so if their report is not acted upon. That small problem could eventually turn into a major problem that puts a fellow employees or customers safety at risk.
Some organisations will have a log book or template where OHS hazards are recorded. It is the responsibility of management to attend to these hazards. It might be something as minor as cabling coming loose under a desk to a major issue such as a heavy box overhanging on a shelf. Obviously the more serious the hazard, the greater the urgency should be to deal with it
