data are lacking that define the optimum level of omega-3 fatty acids in the diet as well as the correct omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acid ratio in boars. In the current experiment, we supplemented the boar diet with a proprietary source of polyunsaturated fatty acids (JBS United, Inc.), that had a level of omega3 fatty acids of over 31% and a ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids of 1:0.2.
