Inspection of the partial sequence of SUVi clearly reveals that it is the homologue of BACH1.
The homology extends throughout the partially identified sequence (1–203 aa) and contains the canonical signature of DEAH helicases (Fig. 1).
BACH1 and SUVi show the best alignment in comparison with any other protein in the data bank.
