Netherlands GDP Annual Growth Rate 1989-2016
The Dutch economy advanced 2.3 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2016, following 1.5 percent growth in the previous period and in line with a preliminary estimate, final figure showed. It was the strongest growth since the first quarter 2015, supported by an increase in private consumption (+1.1 percent from +1.3 percent in the preceding quarter), government spending (+1.2 percent from +0.4 percent), business investment (+9.3 percent from + 10.0 percent) and exports (+4.0 percent from +4.8 percent). In contrast, government investment contracted by 3.0 percent (from -3.1 percent). On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the economy advanced 0.6 percent, the same pace as in the March quarter.
