I have a question regarding our water supply.
In the minutes of meeting 18th October 2014, Matters arising from previous meetings:
Paragraph 2/ Pranburi water supply.
It goes on to states that:- Pranburi Water propose to connect directly to our ring main, by-passing the water tower. We shall retain the well water and use Pranburi Water when there is a shortage.
This is of course good, and we are not now suffering from a water deficit.
However, I would be pleased to know how the system is monitored. How do we know when we are using Pranburi Water or our own water?
Pranburi Water will be at a higher pressure than our well water and will be used by default as a priority, unless the supply of Pranburi Water is some how, timed, monitored and controlled,
Pranburi Water has it's own meter, so consumption is there to be read, but as I understand it our water supply does not have a meter, so the consumption from the well cannot be measured, separately.
The well water is 'free' less any maintenance costs, and should be used first with the Pranburi Water as a 'back up'.
I am concerned that water costs could escalate unnecessarily if the two supply systems are not properly controlled and monitored.
I would be pleased to hear what the committee has put in place to cover this potential problem.
