2.2. Crystallization and data collection
Lyophilized ConM was dissolved to a concentration of
10 mg ml1 in 20 mM TriseHCl pH 7.6 containing 0.5 mM IAA. Cocrystals
from the ConMeIAA complex suitable for X-ray diffraction
experiments were obtained according to the protocol described by
Gadelha and collaborators [49]. X-ray data were collected at a
wavelength of 1.433 A using a synchrotron radiation source (MX1
station, Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory e LNLS, Campinas,
Brazil). A complete data set was obtained using a MARCCD 165
detector (MAR Research) in 120 frames with an oscillation range of
1. The diffraction data were indexed, integrated and scaled using
MOSFLM and SCALA [50]. The crystal belongs to the orthorhombic
space-group I222.
