Wal-Mart markets to a wide variety of customers. As in the organization has an objective to provide value to every social class’s needs. They have strict rules and regulations on what types of products and quality can be found in the local store and on the Internet respectively. Wal-Marts goals are that everyone is to be a customer of Wal-Mart. In reality, poor, low – middle class families and individuals can be of the most common customers. Wal-mart created the grocery sector in its local stores to steal the thunder from the local grocery stores in attempts to broaden their loyal customer base.
The Internet market place has a different platform for answering this question. They offer products that can not be found in the store. The Internet gives Wal-mart the ability to display high quality products to target the high middle/wealthy class. In attempts to do this, the Internet sector of the business has seen a customer boost, but they are also starting to see similar stats for the same customer base as the in stores market.
