Good night Yuva.
I hope all is going well with you. I heard about what the doctor had to say. Of course it would be something
I usually attribute to being in the hands and wrists of people. I never thought of it for people in their knees.
Guess even old timers like me have to realize there is still a lot to learn as we move on in life! The best thing
I can think of is to really rest your knee as much as possible. The original medication your first doctor had
you taking is good for joint relief. It doesn't do much for pain. The only thing that will help there is rest and
some level of pain medication. The problem with a lot of pain medications is that prolonged use either damages
your kidneys or your lover. It all depends on which one you take. Of course in my case, they have me taking
low levels of aspirin. Its purpose is to continue keeping my blood slightly thinned out after they take me off
of blood thinners. Those I will be happy to quit taking. I have never had to deal with how long it takes to
stop bleeding compared to not taking any blood thinners. The cat scratched me the other day and it took me
a full five minutes to get the bleeding to stop. Usually only takes around 30 to 60 seconds. So even I am still
adjusting to my medications.
Looks like Thailand is still going through lower than normal levels of tourism. Martial Law seems to be the
one thing pointed to as the reason. Offering the Chinese free VISAs I am sure helps, but if it was the cost,
there really isn't much there in savings. $30.00 for a tourist VISA is pretty low to begin with. Chinese tourist
no doubt wil always be a bit concerned about any style of crack down. They live under strict controls. Which
is why they no doubt enjoy coming to Thailand normally. A short trip, normally freedom to do what they want,
when they want and no one watching over them. With Marshall law, they feel the tightening of the controls and
see it as a lack of freedom. Hopefully Marshall Law will be lifted soon. I am not hearing about any unrest in
Thailand now. So hopefully soon.
Officials from Thailand's Department of Special Investigation, acting on tipoffs from Australian authorities,
raided a condominium and a restaurant in Bangkok and arrested two Pakistani men and two Thai women last
Saturday. So it looks like the authorities are starting to step on on the other side of side of tourism. The illegal
use of passports. Some of it may well have to do with that Malaysian Airline that went down with two
people traveling on fake passports reported to have been made in Thailand. Reported of course is not proof. So
the media can and will speculate.
Pleasant dreams and sleep well. I think about you always.
