Gather at the Grasshopper Shop
Meet at the Grasshopper Adventures Shop near Khao San Rd at 10:30 am. The tour will depart at 11 am sharp. Make sure you allow plenty of time to get here, allowing for the heavy Bangkok traffic. After a quick bike fitting and briefing we head out. Staying off the roads we use small lanes and alleyways and canal boats to immerse you into the soul of Bangkok.

Cycle to the old market community and visit an ancient community temple Centuries ago trading communities formed along the canals on the outskirts of Bangkok to buy the goods coming to market by canal from the outlying farms and orchards. The former wealth of these trading communities can be seen in the elegant architecture of the temples they left behind.
A local Thai lunch by Bang Luang Canal
Enjoy a simple tasty Thai lunch in a local eatery by the canal.
Traditional Thai Puppet Show
A group of Artists have taken up residence in a 200 year old traditional wooden house a the bank of Bang Luang Canal. Inside the Artist's House is an art gallery and gift shop. But most interesting of all is the performance of snippets from ancient epics by Hoon Lek puppeteers. Combining traditional Khon dance and puppetry makes for probably the most unique form of puppetry you may ever see. There is a performance almost every day, except when the puppet troupe is away.
