control participants completed the study.
Baseline Participantsû Characteristics
The average age of the experimental and
control groups were 58.8 and 60.6 years, respectively.
The control group had greater body weight, body
mass index and quadriceps muscle strength of the
right leg (right knee extension peak torque) than
the experimental group (p < .05). No statistical
difference between groups in other baseline
assessments was detected (Table 1).
