places they not in proximity to the market and there is low focus on
growth of telecom sector in India made them to go into the deeper
parts of the country to attract literates and middle class segment.
They even expanded their stores into Gujarat, Delhi, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka by recruiting people in various regions and had 500 plus stores by the end of 2005. It was considered to be India's largest retail chain store with 500 plus stores and plans to have 1,000-plus stores by the end of the year 2007.
