Extremities (legs, feet and arms) were the most affected parts of
the body (66.9% or 721 accidents), more than half of which (34%)
refer to the leg area (Table 4). Head and neck injuries (15.5%), chest
and back injuries (10.4%) and injured abdomen or pelvis (3.0%) followed.
As a more elaborate analysis reveals, knee injuries (12.1%),
lower leg (8.1%) and fingers (7.3%) had the highest frequency rates.
On the contrary, only 1.9% of all accidents affected the abdomen–
pelvis area. Finally, accidents that affected multiple body regions
accounted for 5.2% of all incidents.
